Frequently asked quEstions

Q: How do I get a rate quote for my ride?

A: You can call us, send a text, email us at tripswithease@gmail.com, use the request a quote page on our website, or send us a message on Facebook or Nextdoor. You can send a message in a bottle or a scroll attached to an owl, but we cannot guarantee the timeliness of our response if you use one of those last two methods.

Q: How do I book my ride?

A: Just let us know you would like to book.  We will request some details (addresses, flight info, email address) and we send you an emailed confirmation of your reservation

Q: Why do you need my flight information?

A:  We request your flight number and airline so that we can monitor your flight for any changes, delays, or cancellations. This helps us adjust pickup or drop-off times as needed and ensure that we’re ready and waiting when your plane lands. It also allows us to manage our schedule responsibly, since one change can affect other bookings. Our priority is making your travel experience as smooth and stress-free as possible.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept and when do we pay you?

A; We accept cash, check, credit/debit card, zelle and venmo.  We do not accept NYC subway tokens, monopoly money, crypto or restaurant gift cards.  Payment is made on the day of your trip.

Q: Does your rate include gratuity?

A: Our rates do not include gratuity - they are always appreciated though!

Q: Can you accommodate our family of 5?

A:  We’re a small, two-person business with two personal business insured vehicles. Our Trailblazer seats up to 3 passengers with luggage, and our Mercedes sedan can also seat 3 passengers with lighter luggage. For larger parties, we can provide both vehicles and drivers, with your group traveling in two cars. Just let us know your plans, and we’ll be happy to prepare a quote tailored to your needs.

Q: Do you offer rides for local errands, like going to town for groceries?

A: At this time, we focus exclusively on pre-scheduled transportation to and from airports, cruise terminals, and train stations. We don’t provide local errand or on-call ride services.   We do know some people though, so feel free to reach out and we can provide their info.

Q: How far do you travel?

A: Our service area is flexible. We regularly provide transportation to Newark, JFK, LaGuardia, Lehigh Valley, Scranton, the NYC cruise terminal, and train stations in both New York and New Jersey. Beyond that, we’ve arranged pre-booked rides to Princeton for college students, trips to New York City for medical appointments, Broadway shows, or weekend stays, and even longer-distance travel—such as a three-hour trip for a family funeral. On occasion, we’ve even driven a guest’s personal vehicle

Q: Who will be my driver?

A: 9 times out of 10, your driver will be Eric. Yep, the same guy who answers the phone.

Q: What happens if there is inclement weather?

A: Rain? You might get a little wet—umbrella is recommended. Snow? Time to break out that cozy coat, scarf and gloves.  Flight delayed or canceled? Don’t panic! We’ll do our best to adjust your pickup or drop-off, keeping your schedule moving without causing chaos for other guests. We also recommend allowing extra travel time in case roads are slippery or slow—think of it as a little bonus buffer for safety. With a bit of humor, flexibility, and careful planning, we’ll help you get there.

Q: So, what's the catch?

A; Like Eric always says, "There's no F'ing small print" (Yeah, that's his Queens NY ease-y laid back way of answering that one)

Q: Who's the boss?

A: Eric hates the word “boss” from all his corporate days, but in all fairness, Tara does own the business.  So ask Tara and she’ll shrug and smile. Ask Eric and he’ll immediately point to  Tara. Either way, decisions are ultimately subject to negotiation with the dog—so you might want to check with Scooby first!

If you’re unsure whether we can accommodate your specific trip, just reach out—we’re always happy to explore options and love hearing from our community.
